Stefanie Smith is a young British designer who specialises in traditional tailoring. Stefanie combines embroidery with creative pattern cutting, experimenting with unexpected scale and proportion which includes looking at how geometric elements of particular buildings can be worked into garment construction.

Innovative fabric manipulation and bold prints that work with structural pattern cutting is the core of her design philosophy. Stefanie graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2008 with a BA in Fashion Design and completed her Masters at Nottingham Trent University in 2009. Stefanie’s ‘Masters Collection’ was showcased in several boutiques that have large demand for bespoke pieces.Following an internship with a high-end global brand, Stefanie launched her own self-named label, focusing on made to measure ladies wear. Her two latest collections, Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter have been commissioned and worn by Apprentice candidates Helen Milligan and Natasha Scribbins, during filming of the latest apprentice series 7.
